Get Informed

Local news is a great source for learning more about what is happening in Kentucky politics.

The Courier-Journal and WFPL regularly cover politics at a local and state level. If you ever run into a paywall with the Courier-Journal, you can search directly through the JCTC Courier-Journal database. Not all articles that are published on the Courier-Journal website may be available through the databases; if you are having trouble, try searching for a person, place, or topic that you are looking for information on.

WFPL produces Kentucky Politics Distilled, a short podcast designed to fill you in on current topics in Kentucky politics.

Get Involved

There are a number of organizations you can join to get more involved in politics at a local and state level.

Kentucky Young Democrats and the Republican Party of Kentucky are organizations that support their chosen political party throughout the state.

Kentuckians for the Commonwealth is a progressive organization working towards economic, environmental, and societal justice.

The League of Women Voters of Louisville is a nonpartisan organization that seeks to encourage a more informed populace.
