Citing a Learning Guide

The guides are edited by many different individuals, but published under the school. This means that the author will be the group author Jefferson Community and Technical College. 

The date can be found within the footer of the page. 

The title will be the title of the page within the Learning Guide. 

The site name will always be the name of the specific Learning Guide that you are using followed by the information below. 

You will then add Retrieved Month, Date, Year from where you'll need to provide the URL for the location

Example Citation for a Learning Guide

The citation for a JCTC Learning Guide will begin with the Jefferson Community and College as the author. 

Running Example:

Jefferson Community and Technical College. 


The date comes next within the citation. This can be found at the very bottom of the guide.

For the title, use the name of the page that the information you are citing is located on.

Next, the name of the Guide will serve as the website name.

Since the Learning Guides are continually updated, you'll want to include the date that you accessed the resource.

The location or URL follows the access date. You can get this by copying (CTRL + C) the URL from the web address and pasting (CTRL + V) it into your citation.
