We know that this can be a scary and challenging time as you navigate moving from in-person to online classes. Below are a few of the resources available to Jefferson students during this time.
The Learning Commons now offers two types of online tutoring!

Though classes will not be meeting in person, Ask a Librarian is still be available for all students. You can call, text, email us, or even chat live with a librarian.
If you are trying to access a Learning Commons database and encounter an error, try clearing your cache or even using a different browser. Learn how to clear your cache on any device. Alternatively, if you are using Chrome or Firefox, here is a PowerPoint with detailed directions on how to clear your cache.
You can also use a private browsing window to access databases:
If the problem persists, please reach out to us through Ask a Librarian.
Any books that were due during the COVID-19 shutdown will automatically be renewed. Fines and fees on books or DVD's will be waived through the end of the semester for books. However, fines and fees that accumulated before March will remain in place.
KCTCS has created a resource to help you navigate blackboard. There are links to videos on specific concerns you may have like submitting assignments or participating in class discussion boards.
Some students are struggling with Blackboard Collaborate because they need to clear their cache. Learn how to clear your cache in any browser or see the PowerPoint on clearing your cache in Chrome or Firefox. Also, Internet Explorer does not support Blackboard Collaborate so please pay attention to which browser your computer is attempting to use.
