Resources for Adjuncts

There are two Blackboard resources that could be useful for adjunct faculty.

  1. The Jefferson Adjunct Faculty Essentials - An Organization
  2. The JCTC Learning Commons - A Blackboard Package

To add either of these Blackboard resources:

1. Log into Blackboard and on the Institution Page under Faculty Resources select eCommunity/Organization Management & Search.

Arrow pointing to eCommunity link

2. In the Organization Search box, type 'JCTC_Learning_Commons' for the Learning Commons package or 'Jefferson Adjunct Faculty Essentials' for the adjunct organization.

3. Click on the grey down arrow and enroll in the organization.

What is a Learning Commons Blackboard Package?

The Learning Commons Blackboard package is a resource that we put together for faculty to easily add to their course shells. The package itself provides students with easy access to the Learning Commons services and resources from within Blackboard. See the video below for an example of what this looks like in a Blackboard Ultra course shell.

Jefferson Adjunct Faculty Essentials Organization

Once you've enrolled in the Jefferson Adjunct Faculty Essentials, you will need to wait until April Pennington completes the enrollment process for you. From there you'll have access to many great resources including:

  • JCTC Basic Instructions (MyPath, campus maps, faculty/staff directories, and more)
  • Teaching resources (the syllabus template and instruction on how to report no shows)
  • Links to a number of resources for students
  • Information on PD opportunities
  • COVID information
  • And more!
