  • Group and individual study rooms
    • The group study rooms have a projector.

Learning Commons Policies

LIBRARY CARDS

All patrons are required to have a current JCTC ID in hand to check out any materials. 


TUTORING SERVICES

Free tutoring services are available to currently enrolled Jefferson students. Students can meet with a tutor for up to 30 minutes to strengthen their writing, research and study skills (as well as content knowledge of other subjects).


PRIVILEGES AT OTHER LIBRARIES

With a current JCTC ID, you have access to the libraries of all KCTCS and Kentuckiana Metroversity schools. These include Bellarmine University, Indiana University Southeast, Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Spalding University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ivy Tech Sellersburg, and the University of Louisville.

You can request any resource through Interlibrary Loan


CIRCULATING ITEMS

Faculty may have up to 40 items out at any one time.  

  • Books 3 Months (1 Renewal)
  • DVDs 7 Days (1 Renewal) 

Students may have a maximum of 14 items out at any one time. Of those items, no more than 3 DVDs can be out at one time.

  • Books 21 Days (1 Renewal)
  • DVDs 7 Days (1 Renewal) 

OVERDUE MATERIALS AND CHARGES

Faculty do not pay for late charges or fines. However, you will be responsible for replacement fees on lost materials. 


PUTTING ITEMS ON RESERVE

If you'd like the Learning Commons to put items on reserve for student use, stop by the circulation desk Downtown or at Southwest. You can also call Downtown at 502.213.2154 or Southwest at 502.213.7222
