You can use Library Search to locate books and media on psychology topics. You won't just find books when you search the catalog. You also might find reference sources, electronic resources (books or articles you read on your computer) and films.

The Library of Congress Classification system uses the letters BF to classify psychology books.If you find a book that you'd like to check out, be sure to write down the call number - it should look something like this: BF 721 .P452
However, some psychology books can be found under different Library Congress letters. For example, books on depression may be under the letters RC.
Unsure where to find the BF section or any other LC class? Ask a librarian.
Here are just a few of the books about psychology topics currently in the library collection:
eBooks are books you can read from any computer that has Internet access. The entire book is online and available 24/7! You can search for eBooks through Library Search, Libby, and ProQuest Ebook Central.
To find e-books on a specific topic, enter your search terms and click Go! On the results page, under Availability on the right side of the page, select Available Online. Using "dream interpretation" as the topic, a few of the titles that the JCTC has are:
Ebook Central includes over 200,000 unlimited access scholarly books in a variety of disciplines that you can read online.
What you need to know:This database is useful for finding information for any research assignment. One advantage of eBooks is that they can provide more in-depth information than a brief article or reference entry. To use ProQuest Ebook Central, you will need to create a free account.
Libby is actually an app that you can download to your iPhone, tablet, or computer. You can use Libby to read eBooks or listen to audiobooks.
What you need to know:To use Libby, you will need to log in with your Jefferson username and password. On Libby, you’ll need to add Jefferson Community and Technical College as your library to begin checking out books.
