The Learning Commons will close at noon on Friday, December 20th.
The Learning Commons will be closed from December 21st and will reopen on January 6th.
The Downtown Learning Commons will be open from 8AM to 5PM for the weeks of December 16th through 20th and January 6th through 10th.
Take advantage of our free tutoring services, available to currently enrolled Jefferson students across Jefferson campuses. Work together with a tutor in a supportive environment to strengthen your understanding of course materials, writing, research, study skills, Blackboard and computers, and reading.
You are welcome and wanted at tutoring, whatever your ability, age, documentation status, ethnicity, experiences, gender identity, language, neurodiversity, race, religion, sexual orientation, and all the other things that make you you!

Learning Commons tutoring is open:
Not all times and subjects are available at all locations,
Tutoring sessions are active and collaborative. You and the tutor will work together on the topic that you want to discuss. They work with you, rather than doing your work for you. Depending on the subject you would like to work on, you will be paired with one of our peer, librarian, adjunct faculty or faculty tutors.
Tutoring Policies:
Tip: To get the most out of the session, be ready with all relevant materials (including your syllabus, assignment, rubric, readings and class notes).
Are you a JCTC student taking classes at a different KCTCS college? Are you a student from a different KCTCS college taking classes at JCTC? Email us at jf-tutoring@kctcs.edu to make an appointment.
We are unable to offer tutoring for class tests, placement tests, personal writing projects, resumes, or courses taught outside of KCTCS. Check out these resources for placement tests.
