Brainfuse is a company that offers online tutoring and resources. It is free for Jefferson students!

Tutoring

Brainfuse has 24/7 online nursing tutoring from the company’s non-Jefferson tutors.

• Live Tutoring: Chat with a tutor in real time. You can learn more from this video about using Live Help.
• Submitting a Question. Send in a question, and get a written response. You can learn more from this video about submitting a question.

Study Resources

You can access nursing study resources on one page or by looking at the following pages:

• SkillSurfer: Take nursing practice tests.
• Flashbulb: Use nursing flashcards or create your own.

Use your Jefferson email and password to log in to Brainfuse.

In addition to providing access to print and electronic resources, the library keeps other materials that may be helpful in your nursing studies, such as sets of bones and heart models.

These additional resources (Course Reserves) are kept behind the main circulation desk on the 1st floor of the downtown campus library. Your student id is required to use these items, and there is a two hour limit. Course Reserves are non-circulating and must be used in the library.

Your professor may also place other items--such as textbooks or study guides--on reserve in the library.

If a JCTC Learning Commons does not have an item you need, you might be able to borrow it from another library through Interlibrary Loan. 

• Allow at least two weeks to receive the item. It may take longer!
• Usually there is no cost for interlibrary loans. If the item is available only from a library that charges a fee, the Learning Commons tell you the cost before ordering the book or materials.
• If you lose, damage, or keep a book past the due date, you are responsible for fines or fees.

With a current JCTC student ID, you have access to the libraries of all JCTC and Kentuckiana Metroversity schools!

Metroversity includes: Bellarmine University, Indiana University Southeast, Ivy Tech Sellersburg, Jefferson Community and Technical College, Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Spalding University, and the University of Louisville
