What Are Reference Resources?

Reference resources include library materials which detail background, overview, or historical information on your topic.

Your campus library may have a special area just for reference materials.
Reference materials may not be checked out.

Reference resources may also be found in online library catalogs.

Can't make it to the library? Online reference materials can be used from home.

Background Information (Reference Resources)

These are encyclopedias and other reference sources available online. These sources are similar to Wikipedia but contain more reliable information and are a great place to start learning about your topic.

Note: Enter your KCTCS ID and Password (same one you use for email or Blackboard) when prompted.
